Leah Amador, Senior Stylist, Dulles Landing

Tuesday: 10:30 to 6, Wednesday: 10:30 to 4:30, Saturday: 9 to 4

LeahLeah knew she wanted to be a hairstylist since she was a young teen. Leah recalls, “I loved my hairstylist and how much she truly loved what she did. I wanted to be that happy, and make other people as happy as she made me!”

Leah has been working in salons since she was 15. She’s always loved the environment and the teams she’s been apart of. Aside from learning from working alongside some of the best stylists, she’s focused a lot on educating herself in the capricious art of curly hair (Leah is a certified in Deva Curl cutting), and she is a curly girl herself. In fact, Leah worked with Salon Khouri Fairfax in our early years before moving to North Carolina. While working in the “humectant Sandhills of North Carolina,” as Leah describes, it gave her an appreciation for embracing the inherent body and movement of the natural curl pattern.

What Leah loves most about this trade is the ability to educate people about what makes their hair tick. The WHY behind their hair woes. She states, “I don’t want to just wave my magic (heated) wand and make your hair troubles go away for the day. I want to help you learn how to restore or maintain the health and integrity of your hair. I want to work alongside you like a tutor, troubleshooting and learning together. That being said, you can also expect some homework too. ;)”

Leah is certified in Deva Curl hair cutting and Coppola keratin treatments.

Her specialties are curly hair girls, balayage, updos, and body waves

When Leah is not at the salon, she can be found spending time support her soldier (thank you for your service, Mr. Amador!), as well as raising their two children, and in her downtime, Leah enjoys shooting and yoga.
